Today I woke up as per daily schedule but the calendar caught my attention. It’s Independence Day of our nation. We are citizens of FREE INDIA but you would be aware about our past. India was under British Empire for many years & getting independence wasn’t an easy task. Many people have sacrificed their lives just for future ones. The sacrifice makes this day more significant. We the people of India celebrate this day as remembrance of our late fighters & the day is a tribute for them. However the reasons to celebrate this day aren’t limited to above ones. We were under British Rule, they took our maximum wealth but still we are in Top 10 Countries within 71 years. I accept Japan has been more incredible but you may understand size difference between both countries. Every year we celebrate this day & you might feel patriotic but what after that day? Maximum Indians are patriotic for maximum 2 days: Independence Day & Republic Day! Few might be lovers of America or some other country. But before greeting any other country, Please be loyal towards your country.
You should be proud to be an Indian & lucky too. Just think for a while what if you were born in North Korea. You might have to serve in Army for atleast 18 months or more, no matter what happens or else you are a traitor. Just think you are on top of your career but this rule is in your way. But that’s not the case in India. You are free to select here, you are free to express yourselves, you are free to do anything except crime. What else you want from a nation!
Today, we are free & the sense of independence is in the air. The freedom we have, the independence we have that’s all because of people who fought for us. Now, our nation is self-sufficient & we are fit to deal with ourselves. Our accomplishments/achievements are enough to prove the abilities of our nation. I don’t say we have become Super-Power but still the development within 71 years is incredible. Even the entire world is well aware about India’s capability & sooner or later we will surpass other nations.
